About Our Pastor

Pastor Joe and Elaine O'Neill have been married for 31 years.  The Lord has blessed them with six children and four grandchildren (with one on the way!)

Pastor Joe's education includes: B.A. Religious Studies at Canisius College (1980), Pastoral Ministry Diploma, Grand Rapids School of the Bible & Music (1989), Master of Theological Studies, Michigan Theological Seminary (1996). 

The O'Neills have been serving the Lord through Mt Hope Bible Church for 22 years.  Joe's favorite activities are:  talking about Christ, seeing kids and grandkids, biblical counseling, eating dessert, tennis, deer hunting, and reading.  Elaine likes to spend time with family, cook, garden and scrapbook. She is a registered nurse at Chelsea Community Hospital.

Our church was originally planted in 1976 on Mt. Hope Rd. by IBM ministries and is now affiliated with IFCA International.  The IFCA promotes fellowship among Bible-believing Churches around the world.

Our mission is:  to continue to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, to love each other and encourage others to do the same!
About Our Worship Intern

Bart Carpenter is a graduate of New Tribes Bible Institute (2011).  He has served the Lord through music, camp ministry, street ministry and student ministry. 


He enjoys talking about the Lord, playing the guitar, hanging out, and being with his friends.  Bart presently works at Radio Shack and is seeking to serve the Lord through missions.
